Eighth graders: Please see Mrs. Hemphill by today at 3:30 PM if your high school schedule is not correct.

Sixth Grade Awards Ceremony will be today in the cafeteria at 8:45 AM.

Fifth/Sixth grade Fun Fever will be this afternoon at the Roland park.

Hey boys entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade next fall: Roland-Story High School and new boys basketball coach, Darrin Berggren, are hosting a Roland-Story Summer Basketball Camp which will be held June 18-22 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roland-Story High School gym.  Fundamentals such as shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defense will be taught.  There will also be numerous contests and games with prizes awarded each day.  Cost is $30.00, and each participant will receive a camp T-shirt.

There are fliers in the office for anyone who would like to audition for the Ames Children’s Choirs.

The end of the quarter/semester is May 23. All assignments and projects must be done and turned in before you can participate in year-end activities.

There are extra yearbooks for sale for $9.50 each.

Fine payments: These cannot come in a lump sum check.  If you owe a library fine, then bring in that amount.  If you owe band fees, then bring in that amount.  If you need lunch money in your account, then bring in for that.  If you owe book fines, that would also be a separate amount.  This would be the case for padlock replacement, lost textbooks, lost track uniforms, etc.  Plan ahead and bring in what you need.  Checks would be made out to Roland-Story Schools.  Thank you!

Fines and fees MUST be paid before you can participate in year-end activities. If you wait until the last minute you will find yourself in a study hall instead.

All students must have money in their lunch accounts in order to eat breakfast and/or lunch. Any remaining funds in your account will be carried over to next year.

Fifth through eighth grade students: Students that are sent to the office for behavior, that result in detention or worse, may lose the privilege of participating in year-end activities.

Any student, grades 7-12, planning on participating in school sports next year is required to have a physical, insurance, and risk form on file in the office prior to practicing.  The green form (which has everything you need on it) can be picked up in the office.  Also, you need a concussion fact sheet you and your parents must sign.

HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS: JV Varsity softball vs. CMB at home at 5:30 PM, JV/Varsity baseball vs. CMB at home at 5:30 PM
